POC in Collaboration with CAPSA

Testing So Sponge's regulating tape in real conditions with CAPSA! Follow our experiment in twin containers to evaluate its efficiency.

Context & Objectives

After demonstrating the effectiveness of the regulating tape in a climate chamber, CAPSA gave us the opportunity to test our tapes in real conditions by providing two identical 10-foot containers.

Program

To evaluate the tape's capabilities, we implemented a simple experimental program.

  1. Container Selection:
    • Two identical, non-thermally insulated containers were placed side by side for testing.
  2. Instrumentation:
    • Two humidity and temperature sensors were installed in each container.
  3. Preliminary Phase:
    • Temperature and relative humidity (RH) measurements were taken for three days in both empty containers to ensure they behaved identically.
    • Humidity levels were assessed at night. If humidity did not increase sufficiently, water (in liquid form) was added to simulate critical conditions.
  4. Testing with So Sponge Product:
    • Once the previous steps were completed, dimensioned tapes were added to one of the twin containers.
    • Comparative measurements are now being recorded and will be shared in the coming weeks 😉

Next Steps

We thank CAPSA for this opportunity and look forward to sharing these promising test results with you soon.
